Attendees: Doug Lohmeier, Stiney Vonderhaar, John Ranz, Chris Patterson, Dave Nichols, Chief Korte, Chief Hauck, Jack Cameron & Mayor Apking


1.      Police
•       Mutual Aid Agreement- Council Resolution
i.      Chief Korte advised us that a revised mutual aid agreement has been created with all the communities having to pass a new resolution of support. The revisions presented are updates to the previous agreement. Mr. Vonderhaar made a motion to recommend to all of Council, Mr. Ranz seconded all were in favor.

•       On-line Payments
i.      The Police Dept. is considering two methods of paying tickets & fines online. Both have a service fee that will be in addition to the fine and not an additional expense to the Village. There will be more to come on which vendor they choose to use.

•       Drug Law Enforcement Fund- Microscope purchase
i.      Chief Korte has requested approval for $1500 from the Law Enforcement fund to purchase a microscope to assist in drug and other investigation. Committee was in favor.

•       Hiring Process Update
i.      The hiring committee is scheduled to meet on November 18th and will be interviewing 3 candidates. They will look to hire the at the December 10th meeting.

2.      Fire
•       Money appropriation for new engine for 2006 Horton Ambulance
i.      Chief Hauck made a request to appropriate $18,000 to replace the engine in the 2006 ambulance; currently it is out of service due to reoccurring issues. It comes with a 2 year warranty and should be back in service by the end of the year. The 2014 budget still will have appropriations to replace the 2001 vehicle.

3.      Recreation
•       Proclamation for Ken Puthoff – Dave Nichols presented a resolution that will be given to Mr. Puthoff for being named Ohio c
•       
4.           Gorman Heritage Farm
•       Chris Patterson addressed the committee with the decision of the Foundation to return $22,000 of the $37,000 allocated to them in August. This is due to the research and decision by the farm that the chances of drilling a well on the property were not high enough to find water to meet their needs. He went on to say that they will put a request in for the 2014 budget for alternative options.

Motion to adjourn at 7:00 by Stiney Vonderhaar & seconded by John Ranz all in favor.
